When and where is the Summer Institute?
- The 2007 summer institute will be held June 18-22 at Education Development Center in Newton, Massachusetts.
What are our goals for 2007 – 2008 CSSM Fellows?

To give participants strategies to support lifelong learning of mathematics, particularly of mathematics related to their professional work.

To offer participants models for how to teach courses to doctoral students so that doctoral students in mathematics education can also develop such strategies.
What are the commitments for 2007 – 2008 CSSM Fellows?
- To attend the immersion week institute: June 18-22, 2007.
- To participate in a teleconference in spring 2008.
- To be part of the community of Fellows with online and offline conversations about mathematics and mathematics courses.
- To lead a mathematics seminar or course at the home university, possibly in collaboration with other Fellows in one or both of the 2007-08 or
2008-09 school years.
What other opportunities does a CSSM Fellow have?
- Preparing a monograph on mathematics for mathematics educators.
- Presenting Center work at conferences.

Is there support for travel, room, and board for participants?
- Through the supporting grant from the National Science Foundation, we are able to support travel expenses for some of the participants.
